Our story is about the usual liberal arts stuff: literature, editing, and death.
The main heroine is a skilled editor who has to figure out the mysterious suicide of the famous author Stepan Nelyivoda by correcting hyphens into dashes and dashes into commas. Don't be afraid to look in the dictionary, because you'll need it!
